Syllabus

The ICAIC syllabus sets out the topics and skills covered by the competition. Contestants are encouraged to review it when preparing for the contest.

Format

ICAIC consists of two complementary competitions.

Individual Competition

Contestants compete individually to solve challenging AI tasks using modern AI techniques, programming skills and analytical thinking.

The contest evaluates

  • algorithm design
  • machine learning
  • model optimisation
  • data analysis
  • AI engineering

Duration: 5 – 7 hours

Team Competition

Teams of three students collaborate to solve larger real-world AI challenges requiring technical expertise, teamwork and innovation.

Teams may develop complete AI solutions involving

  • large language models
  • computer vision
  • reinforcement learning
  • data science
  • multimodal AI
  • AI systems engineering

Duration: 7 hours

Competition Resources

Participants will be provided with

  • cloud GPU resources;
  • datasets;
  • AI development environment;
  • evaluation platform;
  • technical documentation.

The exact computational resources will be announced before the competition.
